Cooper’s sparrow is endemic to the North American continent. Its breeding range extends from southern Canada to northern Mexico. The nesting populations in Canada and the northern states of the United States migrate southwards in winter. It denotes a certain preference for broad-leaved woods and open wooded areas. It is frequently found in the residual groves, in the forests that run along the water streams or in the plantations where the trees are spaced between them.Dimensions: 37-47 cm. Wingspan: 64-87 cm.
